We may exist in other people's minds, but we do not know for sure that those people exist. Everything is seen through the lens of our mind.
I don't remember if I had mentioned this metaphor before, but when I talk about this, I always compare it to wearing gloves vs. our sense of touch. We may pick something up, feel it, be absolutely sure about its shape, but what we are really feeling is the shape which our gloves form. Our senses are the same thing-they are the pathways which communicate information about the outside world to us, but we have no idea if this is truly the outside world. For all we know, our senses may be receiving information from a world stored on a computer somewhere.
However, deep down inside, I know everyone else exists. They exist as much as we know they can.
